Innovative HIV Care Strategies for Priority Populations: Transgender Women, Mexican Men

This session features two interventions with a focus on priority populations affected by the HIV epidemic:

  • Enlaces Por La Salud: An intervention grounded in a transnational framework to increase engagement and retention in HIV care among newly diagnosed and out-of-care Mexican men and transgender women in North Carolina.
  • TransActívate: A comprehensive and innovative program to improve the timely entry, engagement, and retention in quality HIV care for Latina transgender women in Los Angeles County. The TransActivate intervention uses a strengths-based approach and transtheoretical model and showcases persistent, creative, and systematic methods to overcome barriers to engagement and retention in care.

This session is part of the IHIP Webinar Series, Replicating Innovative HIV Care Strategies in the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.
