Learn from the experience of Ugandan colleagues how case management techniques could be adopted and adapted at a facility level to improve engagement and retention of hard-to-reach patients in hopes of achieving the ultimate goal of persistent viral suppression.
Learning Objectives
- Understand challenges and barriers to retention in care and achieving viral suppression in hard-to-reach patients in Uganda and how these relate to challenges experienced in the United States.
- Learn how case management techniques were adapted in Uganda to address these challenges.
- Recognize similarities between domestic and international challenges to ending the HIV epidemic and how we can learn from each other in addressing these barriers.
