This session will walk you through everything you need to know to start and maintain a telehealth program. It will also review current federal resources that can assist you in getting started and allow you to view the equipment in action.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the costs and benefits of utilizing telehealth for people with HIV in rural communities.
  2. Understand the issues rural Americans face in accessing HIV care and the opportunities that telemedicine provides to extend services in a way that addresses barriers to care that are unique to that population.
  3. Identify opportunities to leverage existing infrastructures to support the extension of HIV care services.
