The presentation will cover the efficacy of +Love, a five-pronged intervention in New Orleans, involving a dedicated case manager, therapist, peer support, ride service, and text-based alert program that tracks clients' basic needs, mood, and provides medication reminders, in improving the healthcare and treatment satisfaction of young, black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify interventions that succeed in improving the health and health care of young, black MSM with HIV at a Ryan White-funded agency.
  2. Recognize the potential challenges in implementing interventions that are culturally specific to this population.
  3. Discuss the experiences of young, black MSM who are enrolled in +LOVE interventions that are designed specifically for young, black MSM with HIV.
