Description

This session will discuss key considerations for RWHAP Part B programs and AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs) as they support access to medication and related services for justice-involved individuals within the parameters of relevant HRSA/HAB guidance and other federal policies.

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn about the different federal requirements and restrictions for utilizing RWHAP Part B/ADAP funds to provide services to justice-involved people with HIV both during and after incarceration.
  2. Explore the ways these various requirements can support provision of services for justice-involved people with HIV, including specific service categories and examples within each.
  3. Discuss the unique needs of justice-involved people with HIV, and key challenges programs face when working with justice-involved clients.
