Oklahoma has been classified as one of the seven states with a high rural HIV burden. Telemedicine is an excellent resource to reach patients in rural areas and continue to engage them in care and keep them virally suppressed.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe a telemedicine program to reach rural areas.
  2. Discuss the challenges of telemedicine and overcoming these challenges.
  3. Describe the use of equipment and staff as well as a telemedicine bus to conduct telemedicine visits.
