Using a multidisciplinary approach to harness the electronic patient portal for completion of RWHAP six-month recertification documents, we were able to create a more patient-centered method that complies with program requirements. We will discuss the challenges, opportunities, and results of using such technology in program recertification.

The COVID-19 pandemic propelled digital tools to the forefront of healthcare. New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute Digital Health Initiative (DHI) coordinated digital health trainings to enhance practices among HIV program staff and may result in improved patient-provider communication, patient access to services and potentially health outcomes.

Over the past two years, the HIV workforce was challenged to not only maintain services but to rapidly address COVID-19. This case example of the AETC response, demonstrates Northeast/Caribbean AETC’s efforts to rapidly bring needed expertise and resources directly to community providers serving highly impacted communities.

RWHAP Part A programs in Florida are housed within county governments, not the state department of health. This prevents direct data sharing, leading to outdated out-of-care (OOC) lists. Migration of residents between counties complicates the management of OOC lists, creating a need for streamlined data exchange and matching.

The syndemic of opioid use disorder, HCV and HIV and stigma causes burdens on individuals and the system. Integrating siloed systems of care is critical to addressing this crisis.
