The learning objectives for this webinar are to:
- Understand why a succession plan for your quality management program is vital to maintaining routine, efficient operations, and high-performance levels.
- Understand how to use a task diagram and apply it to your quality improvement project.
- Learn about the Priority Matrix and use of the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle as a method of improvement in healthcare.
- Expand knowledge of the steps needed to develop a quality management succession plan.
The presentation will be delivered by Cynthia (Cyndee) Burton R.N., Consultant and Coach at the Center for Quality Improvement & Innovation (CQII). Cyndee is a registered nurse with over 40 years of experience, and with an additional degree in health care administration. Cyndee has over 28 years of experience in HIV/AIDS. In 1996, Cyndee started an organization called Matthew 25 in rural Kentucky, which became a Ryan White Title III clinic in 1999. She continued as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization until 2022. Cyndee attended many quality management trainings provided by CQII and utilized that knowledge to lead the quality management team at Matthew 25. She also gained considerable knowledge on succession planning, using the information to develop a succession plan for Matthew 25. She successfully handed over the reins of the organization which continues to thrive. Succession e and grow with new leadership. Since 2022, Cyndee has provided coaching on two CQII projects: the Special Project of National Significance (SPNS) Aging with HIV, and CQII Beginner Learning Labs.
