Description

The New Jersey Behavioral Health and HIV Integration Project (NJ B-HIP) used an HIV and Behavioral Health Continuum and applied a kit of essential tools to achieve behavioral health and primary HIV care integration and improved outcomes. Specific frameworks, tools, and site-based examples will be shared, and cross-cutting issues will be discussed.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the use of quality tools to support improved integration of behavioral health and primary HIV care services.
  2. Apply lessons learned and application of the tools in clinical quality management programs, including hospital-based and outpatient ambulatory clinics, federally qualified community health centers, and community-based organizations.
  3. Practice using a toolkit developed to improve the quality of integration of behavioral health and primary HIV care services.
