Implementing Evidence-Informed Interventions with Transgender Women to Improve Access, Engagement, and Health Outcomes

This workshop will explore the implementation of peer-led, evidence-informed interventions for transgender women with HIV. The programs are Healthy Divas, and Transgender Women Engagement and Entry to Care Project (T.W.E.E.T.). Attendees will learn the core elements of these interventions and how they improve engagement in care, treatment adherence, and viral suppression in Alabama and Michigan.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand major barriers to engagement in care and viral suppression for transgender women.
2. Participants will understand core elements of Healthy Divas and T.W.E.E.T.
3. Participants will learn strategies for culturally tailored, sustainable, and rapid implementation of these evidence-informed interventions for transgender women with HIV.
