Organization
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
Presenter(s)

Description

Telemedicine has emerged to provide medical care to those in rural settings. This model has not yet been utilized by Ryan White clinics at academic centers. We use a multidisciplinary approach to conduct visits with patients via live videoconferencing. There are multiple challenges, but there is potential for increasing access.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define telehealth vs telemedicine
  2. Identify patient populations that would benefit from implementation of telemedicine
  3. Identify challenges and benefits to implementation of telemedicine
