Description

This session will cover Ryan White-supported clinics and services that needed to be adapted and tailored to address the unique needs of young people with HIV, particularly mental health services, to optimize their retention and viral suppression. Innovative research and community projects in New York City, Philadelphia, and Atlanta will be presented.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand how a New York City research collaboration is leveraging Ryan White Part A services to improve health outcomes among young people with HIV.
  2. Understand how a multi-level intervention in Philadelphia could improve transition from pediatric to adult care among young people with HIV.
  3. Understand how an integrated mental health and HIV care model needs to be culturally tailored for young black men who have sex with men in Atlanta.
