Description

The Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS Ministry in Youngstown, Ohio, began an emergency shelter and started providing housing services for people with HIV who were homeless. This session will discuss the lessons learned, best practices, and gains made toward helping the most marginalized clients achieve viral load suppression.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify eligible individuals and allowable use of funds for housing services according to Policy Clarification Notice 16-02.
  2. Recognize the lessons learned, best practices, and challenges experienced with addressing structural barriers for housing for people with HIV.
  3. Examine the positive health outcomes for individuals as a result of experiencing housing stability.
