Addressing STIs: Ask. Test. Treat. Repeat.
Nine sites implemented four evidence-based interventions, collectively known as Addressing STIs: Ask.Test.Treat.Repeat. The four intervention components are audio computer-assisted self-interview sexual history taking, patient self-collection of urogenital and extragenital site chlamydia/gonorrhea nucleic acid amplification test specimens, sexual and gender minority welcoming indicators, and provider training, with the overall goal to routinize STI screening, testing, and treatment in primary care. Maintaining Open Communication in a City without Power: A Communication Model Following Hurricane Ida
Following Hurricane Ida in New Orleans, Tulane ID providers utilized an innovative communication model to contact patients using a Google Voice number to act as the clinic call back number. Using this model, 88 out of 132 patients were successfully reached, with 36 percent of those that answered requiring urgent refills.
