Choosing an Improvement Project Lesson 3: Model for Improvement

Author(s): Kevin GarrettCenter for Quality Improvement and Innovation (CQII)

In this lesson, we discuss the Model for Improvement (MFI) in depth, techniques to develop ideas for change, and the tools you can use to understand how to prioritize your change ideas. While the Model for Improvement provides a structured methodology to help you focus your project and document your efforts, the Plan Do Study Act Cycle gives structure to the test that are necessary to see if your ideas are viable.
