An overview of implementation science activities for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) and feedback on future directions from a technical expert panel are summarized in Advancing the Use of Implementation Science in the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program to End the HIV Epidemic in the United States.
Implementation science is the approach being used by HRSA's HIV/AIDS Bureau to identify HIV interventions with demonstrated efficacy and subsequently support their implementation in the field. Effective interventions are being catalogued in the Best Practices Compilation. Most of the interventions identified to date have undergone evaluation through various RWHAP Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS) initiatives.
