UCLA Family AIDS Network, a Ryan White Part D recipient, will present its new Women and HIV bilingual education video series covering the topics of mental health and pregnancy. The videos are an educational tool and innovative way organizations can encourage authentic, genuine, and holistic conversations between consumers and providers.

Five sites participating in the SPNS Black Men who Have Sex with Men (BMSM) Initiative are implementing the Youth-focused Case Management model of care to support behavioral health services integration to improve HIV health outcomes. This session will discuss the intervention adaptations to fit local context and population needs and early implementation experiences.

HIV care measures for people with HIV enrolled in the Massachusetts AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) were compared to people with HIV not currently enrolled; results indicate that enrollees have higher frequencies of engagement and retention in care and viral suppression. Evaluation of the data provides insight that enhances programming and service delivery to reduce health disparities.

The presentation will cover the efficacy of +Love, a five-pronged intervention in New Orleans, involving a dedicated case manager, therapist, peer support, ride service, and text-based alert program that tracks clients' basic needs, mood, and provides medication reminders, in improving the healthcare and treatment satisfaction of young, black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV.

This presentation will describe two innovative mental health quality improvement initiatives for youth. The presentation will focus on the specifics of delivering brief mental health in-clinic interventions and the development and implementation of youth peer support groups within the pediatric HIV program in the ‘hot spot' of the national HIV epidemic, Washington, D.C.

Through the Southern Initiative, CAI supported four Part A agencies in the South in integrating a Community Health Worker (CHW) model to address disparities in HIV outcomes. The session will describe the development of systems to collect, report, and use real-time data to track implementation progress and client outcomes. Results reveal promising client outcomes.

Substance abuse, interpersonal violence, depression, and HIV are part of overlapping and intersecting epidemics which adversely affect the prognosis and intensify the burden of each. This session will review existing literature on this syndemic, lessons learned in initial implementation of a screening and linkage program, and implications for practice.

This session will discuss the implementation, outcomes, and future directions associated with the Health Services Center, Inc. Behavioral Health Co-location (BHC) Project. HSC is the sole provider of free HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) services to a population facing multiple barriers to care (e.g., poverty, education and stigma) in a largely rural 14-county area of northeast Alabama.

In 2019, the Louisiana AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) partnered with a leading private dental insurer to design a group dental plan modeled after an employer-sponsored plan, specifically tailored to the needs of people with HIV. Both utilization and client satisfaction rose significantly following the adoption of the plan.
