The Women Informational Network (WIN) micro-grant initiative supports grassroots, women-led, community-based organizations and leaders conducting innovative approaches that reduce isolation and stigma for women of color with HIV, with a special emphasis placed on women with HIV living in rural areas and ‘resource deserts’ not connected to care.

In a multi-site community health center system, the most challenging patients with HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) co-infection were assessed for HICV cure, and the solutions developed to overcome their barriers to treatment were translated into systems change. Significant challenges exist in vaccinating people with HIV for COVID-19. Our RWPC program set out to implement and evaluate a vaccine initiative for COVID-19 for people with HIV. We achieved vaccine rates of 78 percent being fully vaccinated by December 1, 2021 and 30 percent having a third dose.
