This workshop will describe how the Los Angeles Area AETC developed an inter-professional practice (IPP) program with the Charles Drew NP program, USC’s School of Pharmacy, UCLA’s School of Medicine, and the West LA’s psychiatric residency program -- along with five Ryan White clinics -- to help develop the next generation of HIV teams.

Ryan White is the only federal disease-specific food and nutrition funding source. Despite its demonstrated efficacy, benefits vary widely state to state. As such, much of the innovation is happening at the state level. This panel will look at three different state-based programs focused on food and nutrition for people with HIV.

They will also discuss the creation of certification systems, development of training opportunities, preservation of a community based CHW workforce, and financing mechanisms to support CHW positions.
