RWHAP SPNS Initiative: Using Social and Digital Media to Improve HIV Care in Young People

Description

This session will give information on the RWHAP SPNS Social Media Initiative (SMI), which used social media and digital technology to improve HIV outcomes for young people. It will provide cross-site outcomes from 10 demonstration sites. Three sites will discuss demonstration models. Resources for replicating the intervention models will be presented.

Learning Objectives

  1. Gain knowledge regarding digital technology and social media-based demonstrations to improve HIV health outcomes for young people with HIV.
  2. Gain knowledge of the HIV health outcome measures used and results of the SPNS SMI interventions targeting youth and young adults with HIV.
  3. Understand lessons learned from demonstration sites involved in developing, implementing, and evaluating their own unique, innovative intervention models as part of the SPNS SMI.
  4. Identify materials with details on demonstration models, summary monographs, and replication manuals located on Target HIV.
