The session will discuss lessons learned from the Rhode Island's path to the AIDS Drugs Assistance Program (ADAP) automation through the implementation of the Lifia Portal. Substance abuse, interpersonal violence, depression, and HIV are part of overlapping and intersecting epidemics which adversely affect the prognosis and intensify the burden of each. This session will review existing literature on this syndemic, lessons learned in initial implementation of a screening and linkage program, and implications for practice.
