We conducted semi-structured interviews with service providers to investigate current barriers, potential opportunities, estimated costs, and anticipated outcomes of program expansion for food, financial, transportation, and housing support services for RWHAP clients.

This poster will provide information about approaches of the Black Women First Initiative in adressing HIV epidemic through the COVID-19 pandemic. Oral health problems in people with HIV are common and access to oral health care remains inadequate. Co-location of RWHAP and dental clinic improves accessibility. Our study aims to assess the effectiveness of integration of medical and dental services in improving access to oral health care through co-location.

The COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) exacerbated homelessness and housing instability. NY EMA Planning staff worked collaboratively to address homelessness as a driving force of poorer health outcomes for people living with HIV. This presentation will illustrate community planning processes for addressing housing-related barriers among RWHAP consumers during the PHE.

Oral health of RWHAP participants remains a critical area of unassessed unmet need. Normative data needs and SWOT analyses indicated need for process improvement strategies involving providers for better data quality. Voluntary oral health data reporting is a key barrier to understanding/tracking the oral health status of RWHAP participants.

Joining forces to End the HIV epidemic, the Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center worked across our diverse region to increase access to HIV care and prevention through a community-driven approach. Regional partners throughout our Region II jurisdiction collaborated to strengthen HIV testing, PrEP, viral suppression, and structural competency.
