The syndemic of opioid use disorder, HCV and HIV and stigma causes burdens on individuals and the system. Integrating siloed systems of care is critical to addressing this crisis. Following Hurricane Ida in New Orleans, Tulane ID providers utilized an innovative communication model to contact patients using a Google Voice number to act as the clinic call back number. Using this model, 88 out of 132 patients were successfully reached, with 36 percent of those that answered requiring urgent refills.
