Reaching viral suppression for the last 10% is challenging! Three different clinical sites across the state of Missouri identified a way to stratify unsuppressed patients – those that are consistently viremic and those that are unexpectedly viremic. This presentation will focus on quality improvement (QI) interventions for patients with persistent viremia.

HRSA is in a unique position implementing both RWHAP and the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) programs. This advantage affords an understanding of the key components of successful intervention strategies of each program. HIV planning groups are responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of HIV prevention and care activities within communities. Historically, prevention and care programs have operated separate planning groups. RWHAP Part A and Part B recipients and CDC-funded prevention jurisdictions have conducted parallel planning activities, oftentimes with little collaboration or coordination. As a way to reduce duplicative planning activities and streamline the work of planning groups, a number of jurisdictions have integrated their HIV planning groups.
