This presentation will describe two innovative mental health quality improvement initiatives for youth. The Alabama Quality Management Group (AQMG) is a consortium of quality leaders representing all Alabama RWHAP Part C and D clinics, over 80% of Alabama's HIV-diagnosed population. Data for Care Alabama (D4C-AL), a CDC-funded retention-in-care project, uses risk-stratification based on missed visits. It is currently being implemented at one site but will continue to be implemented over time.

Substance abuse, interpersonal violence, depression, and HIV are part of overlapping and intersecting epidemics which adversely affect the prognosis and intensify the burden of each. This session will review existing literature on this syndemic, lessons learned in initial implementation of a screening and linkage program, and implications for practice.

HSC is the sole provider of free HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) services to a population facing multiple barriers to care (e.g., poverty, education and stigma) in a largely rural 14-county area of northeast Alabama.

Three different clinical sites across the state of Missouri identified a way to stratify unsuppressed patients – those that are consistently viremic and those that are unexpectedly viremic. As part of the Ryan White Services Report (RSR), you are required to submit de-identified client-level demographic, service, and clinical data. Rather than filling out an online form (as with the Recipient Report and the Provider Report), you must upload these data in an electronic file, with a record for each client, in a specific XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format. Each client record must be assigned an encrypted Unique Client Identifier (eUCI).
