UCLA Family AIDS Network, a Ryan White Part D recipient, will present its new Women and HIV bilingual education video series covering the topics of mental health and pregnancy. The videos are an educational tool and innovative way organizations can encourage authentic, genuine, and holistic conversations between consumers and providers.

This workshop will describe how the Los Angeles Area AETC developed an inter-professional practice (IPP) program with the Charles Drew NP program, USC’s School of Pharmacy, UCLA’s School of Medicine, and the West LA’s psychiatric residency program -- along with five Ryan White clinics -- to help develop the next generation of HIV teams.

HIV care measures for people with HIV enrolled in the Massachusetts AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) were compared to people with HIV not currently enrolled; results indicate that enrollees have higher frequencies of engagement and retention in care and viral suppression. Evaluation of the data provides insight that enhances programming and service delivery to reduce health disparities.

The STAR Program, a Ryan White Part C program, initiated a 30-minute, weekly televised TV health magazine that engages the community across multiple social media and television platforms with a focus on health particularly HIV treatment and Prevention, reaching young adults. Participants will explore different forms and manifestations of stigma, the impact of stigma on health outcomes, and the tenets of intersectionality. There will be discussion on improving factors contributing to stigma and intersectionality that impact the HIV service delivery system. People with HIV are encouraged to attend.

This workshop will introduce a practical approach for focused and inclusive conversations about evaluation and HIV program outcomes. Motivational interviewing techniques are applied in the program evaluation context, using examples from Ryan White programs. Using motivational interviewing, the evaluator leads the dance in the desired direction while incorporating stakeholder input.

This workshop will provide a game demonstration. The game was developed to address the common scenarios that occur which cause stress and confusion in the battle to weigh client needs against agency ethos and program requirements. The game promotes motivational interviewing skills for problem-solving with consumers and coworkers alike.

Using three HIV telehealth pilot projects as case studies, telehealth leaders from the Medical University of South Carolina—a HRSA-funded Telehealth Center of Excellence—will discuss how telehealth might be leveraged to improve access to HIV prevention and care. Telehealth technical assistance opportunities available through HRSA will also be highlighted.
