Enlaces Por La Salud
Enlaces Por La Salud is an HIV linkage, navigation, and education program for Mexican men and transgender women. The intervention is grounded in a transnational framework for providing cultural context to support the delivery of one-on-one educational sessions to Latina(o/x) people with a new HIV diagnosis, as well as people with HIV who are not yet retained in care. Virginia Rapid Start Collaborative
Virginia Rapid Start launched with HIV care providers across the state with goals to initiate ART for clients within 14 days of HIV diagnosis and to improve access to, and retention in, high-quality HIV care and support services. Through Virginia Rapid Start, providers initiated ART medications within an average of four days of HIV diagnosis, as compared with the statewide average of 28 days. Virginia Rapid Start clients had higher rates of viral suppression compared to both the RWHAP Part B overall and Virginia overall. The Alexis Project
The Alexis Project used social network recruiting and engagement, peer navigation, and contingency management to reach and engage transgender women of color with HIV who were not engaged in HIV care. Providing HIV Services to People Who Are Incarcerated
The Maricopa Jail Project was implemented by five jails to decrease the wait time between incarceration and/or diagnosis to the start of treatment, and to better support clients to reach viral suppression. Maricopa hired a nurse practitioner to manage access and case manage across the jail system. Primero Yo: A Participant-Driven Group Empowering Latina Women with HIV to Find Their Voice
A culturally sensitive, participant-driven, Spanish-language group for Latina women with HIV promoted engagement in HIV services. Many participants had never previously engaged in support services. The increased participation resulted in multiple positive outcomes, including HIV viral load suppression, reduced stigma and isolation, engagement in mental health services, and increased community advocacy.

Spanning the Chasm: An Implementation Science Partnership: EHE Jurisdictions, AETC, and NIMH-Funded AIDS Research Center
This interactive workshop discusses the process, facilitators, barriers, and lessons learned while conducting two End the Epidemic, NIMH-funded implementation science planning grants awarded to the AIDS Research Center at Columbia University in partnership with the Northeast/Caribbean AETC and several Departments of Health, Ryan White recipients, and community stakeholders.
