Staff will present a population-based, data-driven approach to the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) funding designed to improve program engagement and retention to reduce health disparities and maximize health outcomes. Presenters will review methods to facilitate replication of the model in other Ryan White programs.

HIV care measures for people with HIV enrolled in the Massachusetts AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) were compared to people with HIV not currently enrolled; results indicate that enrollees have higher frequencies of engagement and retention in care and viral suppression. Evaluation of the data provides insight that enhances programming and service delivery to reduce health disparities.

Workshop attendees will be introduced to the end+disparities ECHO Collaborative, the largest virtual community of practice of its kind. Through the protocol, staff and patients systematically identify and address patient strengths and challenges, focusing activities on building patients' capacity to manage their care.
