Overview of the HRSA technical assistance project: Sustainable Strategies for RWHAP Community Organizations.  This project supports AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) most in need of critical assistance to make changes in health care delivery and financing by connecting them to information, training and technical assistance (T/TA) to meet identified needs.

Presenters 

  • Denise Anderson, Project Director, Sustainable Strategies for RWHAP Community Organizations, Primary Care Development Corporation presented an overview of the project and preliminary results from their needs assessment survey.

  • Kevin J. Burns, Executive Director and Beth Hagan, Deputy Executive Director, at Action Wellness, described how they enhanced the organization's business model from a stand-alone AIDS Services Organization (ASO) to partnering with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

  • Outline the goals, products and services available through PCDC's Sustainable Strategies initiative

  • Examine preliminary results of the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), needs assessment conducted of RWHAP AIDS Services Organizations (ASOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs)

  • Discuss the case of an ASO (Action Wellness Philadelphia) and their journey in partnering with a Federally Qualified Center (FQHC)
