A Trauma-Informed Approach to Integrating HIV Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services
To better integrate primary care with behavioral health services, providers were trained on trauma-informed care and contracts and standards of care were modified to require that medical providers conduct mental health screenings. Providing HIV Services to People Who Are Incarcerated
The Maricopa Jail Project was implemented by five jails to decrease the wait time between incarceration and/or diagnosis to the start of treatment, and to better support clients to reach viral suppression. Maricopa hired a nurse practitioner to manage access and case manage across the jail system. Integrating Buprenorphine Therapy Into HIV Primary Care Settings
This report highlights projects found to offer highly effective (and replicable) approaches to integrating buprenorphine-based medication-assisted treatment into HIV/AIDS primary care. Chapters outline the processes programs need to put in place, including meeting DATA 2000 regulatory requirements, achieving institutional buy-in, implementing staff training requirements, and evaluating processes and outcomes.

Engaging Historically Black Colleges and Universities in HIV Prevention
Research shows that African American students live with HIV more commonly than their primarily Caucasian counterparts. Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) educate millions of learners, positioning these entities to enact greater strategies to counter HIV acquisition and spread. This workshop describes an innovative partnership to address such factors at HBCUs.

Increasing Uptake of PrEP in Cis-Women Through a Health Educator-Driven Walk-In Sexual Health Clinic
Women in the U.S. represent only 7% of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) users. A free walk-in service in Washington, D.C., staffed by health educators was created and sought to reduce barriers to sexual health services, yielding an increase in female patients to 65% of new PrEP starts during a four-month pilot program.

Co-Located HIV and SUD Care on a Mobile Unit for Homeless People with HIV and SUD
A community health center uses a mobile health unit to provide integrated substance use disorder (SUD) and HIV care and treatment for those suffering from housing instability. This low-barrier, mobile, integrated care model, supported by intensive case management and outreach, has made a significant impact on engagement, antiretroviral treatment (ART) initiation, and viral suppression.
