In 2019, the Louisiana AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) partnered with a leading private dental insurer to design a group dental plan modeled after an employer-sponsored plan, specifically tailored to the needs of people with HIV. The HealthCare.gov Open Enrollment period for signing up for health coverage has been expanded and will now run from November 1, 2021 through January 15, 2022. (Some state enrollment periods vary.) In addition, enrollment assistance programs are being expanded.
