Required and Enhanced RWHAP Unmet Need Estimates and Analyses: Exploring the Possibilities
In this webinar, presenters reviewed the updated Unmet Need Framework for RWHAP Part A and B recipients and highlighted the difference between the required and enhanced estimates and analyses. Given that enhanced estimates and analyses are strongly encouraged by HRSA HAB, presenters discussed approaches to support recipients in expanding estimates and analyses.
These approaches will include possible linked databases to utilize for the estimates and the benefits of subpopulation analyses for understanding disparities in HIV care and treatment.

Proactive Clinic-Based Substance Abuse Screening and Treatment: Helping to Advance in New Directions (Helping HAND)
A clinic-based substance abuse screening and treatment program is described. Using the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment model, this provides annual proactive screening of alcohol/drug use, with a brief provider response and a follow-up motivational interviewing brief intervention, with treatment provided by an embedded provider.

Test-and-Treat Protocol in a Rural State To Decrease Time to Undetectable Viral Load
Oklahoma has been classified by the Department of Health and Human Services as one of the seven states with a high rural HIV burden. Test-and-treat protocols are feasible within high-volume HIV clinics which serve rural and underserved communities to minimize the time to the first appointment to decrease time to viral load suppression.
