As HIV elimination activities increase, jurisdictions can address HIV/Hepatitis C (HCV) co-infection by enhancing HCV screening and treatment data collection. This session will discuss NASTAD's work with North Carolina to incorporate HCV data in CAREWare and electronic health records (EHRs), as well as recommendations for integrating HCV services into the HIV care infrastructure.

The presentation will include an overview of the transition to self-attestation and how organizational change supported a quality-driven approach.

The Marketplace Open Enrollment period lasts only six weeks in most states, and RWHAP programs face challenges in ensuring eligible clients are enrolled or renew their coverage. Participants will gain new strategies for creating effective enrollment partnerships as well as how to prepare staff, partners, and clients for Open Enrollment.

The Northeast/Caribbean AIDS Education and Training Center HIV Health Information Exchange (HIE) Initiative aims to empower HIV care networks to utilize the potential of emerging data exchange models toward improving HIV outcomes and ending the epidemic. Participants will learn about the presenters’ experience with implementing insurance benefit management services, including enrolling clients across Florida into insurance programs using a broker/assister hybrid model in collaboration with local Ryan White programs, developing an insurance benefits management technology infrastructure, and implementing medical copayment cards for Part A clients in Broward County.
