Peer Educators at Two Universities Leverage Technology to Cultivate Conversations About HIV Testing and Prevention
The results of training of peer educators to interview expert HIV providers in order to enhance student HIV knowledge and HIV testing in student health centers (and increased Vodcast viewing). A Third-Year Service Learning Rotation Program: Dental Students’ Perceptions of Community Engagement Experiences
Columbia University College of Dental Medicine has partnered with community partners to implement a dental care delivery system for PLWHA in NYC. A week-long Service Learning Rotation was integrated into the third-year dental student curriculum; data analysis from this pilot year will be used for program quality improvement and modification.

Maintaining housing stability among PWH in the NY EMA during COVID-19
The COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) exacerbated homelessness and housing instability. NY EMA Planning staff worked collaboratively to address homelessness as a driving force of poorer health outcomes for people living with HIV. This presentation will illustrate community planning processes for addressing housing-related barriers among RWHAP consumers during the PHE.

Maintaining Open Communication in a City without Power: A Communication Model Following Hurricane Ida
Following Hurricane Ida in New Orleans, Tulane ID providers utilized an innovative communication model to contact patients using a Google Voice number to act as the clinic call back number. Using this model, 88 out of 132 patients were successfully reached, with 36 percent of those that answered requiring urgent refills.
