Innovative, Integrated Care: Two Unique Deliveries of Telepsychiatry Services
Telepsychiatry has proven to provide better access and higher-quality care to patients who need psychiatric care as well as for those who have varying circumstances that make it difficult to engage in this service. Vivent Health has successfully integrated telepsychiatry within its medical home model. The Intersection of Substance Abuse, Depression, Violence and HIV: Implications for Ending the HIV Epidemic
Substance abuse, interpersonal violence, depression, and HIV are part of overlapping and intersecting epidemics which adversely affect the prognosis and intensify the burden of each. This session will review existing literature on this syndemic, lessons learned in initial implementation of a screening and linkage program, and implications for practice.
