Part A - Planning Councils

Part A Planning Councils of HRSA's Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) are appointed by the Chief Elected Official (CEO) for the Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA)/Transitional Grant Area (TGA). Planning Councils set HIV/AIDS related service priorities and RWHAP Part A funds on the basis of various measures of need and unmet need. Planning Councils are also required to jointly develop a comprehensive plan with the Ryan White Part A recipient.

    Federal agency that administers the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP), which helps low-income people with HIV receive care.

  • Building the capacity of RWHAP Part A Planning Councils/Planning Bodies to meet legislative requirements, strengthen consumer engagement, and increase planning involvement by community stakeholders/providers.
