Staff will present a population-based, data-driven approach to the Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) funding designed to improve program engagement and retention to reduce health disparities and maximize health outcomes. Presenters will review methods to facilitate replication of the model in other Ryan White programs.

The videos are an educational tool and innovative way organizations can encourage authentic, genuine, and holistic conversations between consumers and providers.

This workshop will describe how the Los Angeles Area AETC developed an inter-professional practice (IPP) program with the Charles Drew NP program, USC’s School of Pharmacy, UCLA’s School of Medicine, and the West LA’s psychiatric residency program -- along with five Ryan White clinics -- to help develop the next generation of HIV teams.

This workshop will explore two sites' (Brooklyn and Detroit) experience with the implementation of an evidence-informed intervention for black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV. The project seeks to improve HIV outcomes through the use of a culturally tailored intervention for Black MSM, the Text Messaging Intervention to Improve Antiretroviral Adherence among youth with HIV (TXTXT).

Anal dysplasia programs are a growing need as anal dysplasia is an increasing concern in men and women with HIV. This presentation will discuss establishing, implementing, and maintaining an anal dysplasia program in a Ryan White clinic setting. Ideas for future evaluation will also be addressed.

This session will explain how Texas collects gender identity data for people with HIV and will examine disparities in care and health outcomes for transgender Texans living with HIV with an additional focus on the Latinx and black communities in order to understand how to better meet the needs of transgender people with HIV.

Establish patterns at the economic, demographic, and sociocultural factors that may fragment or, in a worst-case scenario, interrupt access to HIV testing, biomedical prevention, follow-up to a positive diagnosis, and adherence to treatment.

In this presentation, HRSA and the National Association of County and City Health Officials will demonstrate several activities from the course and provide tips on how to implement it in communities.

Caracole, an AIDS Service Organization, uses three interconnected approaches to improve retention in HIV care: housing first, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing. Clients in permanent supportive housing had high rates of viral suppression, exceeding Caracole's goal of 75%.
