Telemedicine has emerged to provide medical care to those in rural settings. This model has not yet been utilized by Ryan White clinics at academic centers. We use a multidisciplinary approach to conduct visits with patients via live videoconferencing. There are multiple challenges, but there is potential for increasing access.

Telehealth offers patients a virtual way of meeting with their care providers, while also improving patient engagement and care plan adherence. Project ECHO is aimed at workforce development and capacity building.
