Establishing an opt-out HIV screening program in the emergency department has almost quadrupled HIV screening rates and has identified new and out-of-care cases. Utilizing a continuous quality improvement approach has allowed it to become a catalyst to improve workflows for other gaps in University Medical Center of Southern Nevada's HIV care continuum process.

Reaching viral suppression for the last 10% is challenging! Three different clinical sites across the state of Missouri identified a way to stratify unsuppressed patients – those that are consistently viremic and those that are unexpectedly viremic. Hennepin County Public Health (HCPH) matched a cohort of 5,500 Ryan White clients against county systems including Medicaid, other Minnesota public health care programs, food and cash support, emergency shelter and housing assistance, case management services, and the criminal justice system. HCPH is leveraging this data to reduce health disparities.
