Transgender Health Program Integrated Into HIV Prevention and Care
The Rutgers New Jersey Medical School created a transgender health program and integrated it into their Infectious Disease Practice. PACT Food Assistance Program
The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Center for Care of Infectious Diseases, Pittsburgh Area Center for Treatment (PACT) began implementing the Food Assistance Program in August 2017 to serve as a supplemental resource for people with HIV receiving care who experience food insecurity. Merging Prevention and Care Planning Groups
HIV planning groups are responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of HIV prevention and care activities within communities. Historically, prevention and care programs have operated separate planning groups. RWHAP Part A and Part B recipients and CDC-funded prevention jurisdictions have conducted parallel planning activities, oftentimes with little collaboration or coordination. As a way to reduce duplicative planning activities and streamline the work of planning groups, a number of jurisdictions have integrated their HIV planning groups.
