This workshop will describe how the Los Angeles Area AETC developed an inter-professional practice (IPP) program with the Charles Drew NP program, USC’s School of Pharmacy, UCLA’s School of Medicine, and the West LA’s psychiatric residency program -- along with five Ryan White clinics -- to help develop the next generation of HIV teams.

The STAR Program, a Ryan White Part C program, initiated a 30-minute, weekly televised TV health magazine that engages the community across multiple social media and television platforms with a focus on health particularly HIV treatment and Prevention, reaching young adults. The presentation will cover the efficacy of +Love, a five-pronged intervention in New Orleans, involving a dedicated case manager, therapist, peer support, ride service, and text-based alert program that tracks clients' basic needs, mood, and provides medication reminders, in improving the healthcare and treatment satisfaction of young, black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV.

This workshop will explore two sites' (Brooklyn and Detroit) experience with the implementation of an evidence-informed intervention for black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV. The project seeks to improve HIV outcomes through the use of a culturally tailored intervention for Black MSM, the Text Messaging Intervention to Improve Antiretroviral Adherence among youth with HIV (TXTXT).

The Kaiser Family Foundation shares best practices and strategies from its Greater Than AIDS campaign for using digital and traditional media to reach populations most affected by HIV. The Alabama Quality Management Group (AQMG) is a consortium of quality leaders representing all Alabama RWHAP Part C and D clinics, over 80% of Alabama's HIV-diagnosed population. Data for Care Alabama (D4C-AL), a CDC-funded retention-in-care project, uses risk-stratification based on missed visits. It is currently being implemented at one site but will continue to be implemented over time.

The New Jersey Behavioral Health and HIV Integration Project (NJ B-HIP) used an HIV and Behavioral Health Continuum and applied a kit of essential tools to achieve behavioral health and primary HIV care integration and improved outcomes. Specific frameworks, tools, and site-based examples will be shared, and cross-cutting issues will be discussed.

Cooper EIP Expanded Care Clinic in Camden, NJ has incorporated comprehensive Addictions Medicine (AM) care as part of its treatment model for people with HIV. A cohort of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) diagnosed patients displayed significant levels of VLS after enrolling in AM services.
