The STAR Program, a Ryan White Part C program, initiated a 30-minute, weekly televised TV health magazine that engages the community across multiple social media and television platforms with a focus on health particularly HIV treatment and Prevention, reaching young adults. In 2015, only 72% of pregnant women with HIV followed at the Grady Ponce de Leon Center returned for postpartum care within a three-month period of time. This workshop will describe actions taken to increase the number of women who kept their postpartum (fourth trimester) and ID appointments.

The Alabama Quality Management Group (AQMG) is a consortium of quality leaders representing all Alabama RWHAP Part C and D clinics, over 80% of Alabama's HIV-diagnosed population. Data for Care Alabama (D4C-AL), a CDC-funded retention-in-care project, uses risk-stratification based on missed visits. It is currently being implemented at one site but will continue to be implemented over time.

This presentation discusses results from the HRSA Special Projects of National Significance Evidence-Informed Approaches to Improving Health Outcomes for people with HIV project. It highlights the value of evidence scoring in conjunction with impact assessments of real-world experts and implementers to increase potential adoption and implementation success of evidence-based and evidence-informed interventions.

Undetectable=Untransmittable: individuals who maintain viral suppression don't transmit HIV to their sexual partners. Yet some providers are uncomfortable discussing the implications of viral suppression in clinical encounters. This workshop will explore approaches to reduce provider discomfort in discussing U=U and present strategies to convey this message.

This presentation assesses social determinants that affect the HIV continuum of care. Establish patterns at the economic, demographic, and sociocultural factors that may fragment or, in a worst-case scenario, interrupt access to HIV testing, biomedical prevention, follow-up to a positive diagnosis, and adherence to treatment.

Panelists will detail how they took lessons learned from case management to HIV prevention to become status neutral.

In 2019, the Louisiana AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) partnered with a leading private dental insurer to design a group dental plan modeled after an employer-sponsored plan, specifically tailored to the needs of people with HIV. Both utilization and client satisfaction rose significantly following the adoption of the plan.
