This workshop will describe how the Los Angeles Area AETC developed an inter-professional practice (IPP) program with the Charles Drew NP program, USC’s School of Pharmacy, UCLA’s School of Medicine, and the West LA’s psychiatric residency program -- along with five Ryan White clinics -- to help develop the next generation of HIV teams.

The STAR Program, a Ryan White Part C program, initiated a 30-minute, weekly televised TV health magazine that engages the community across multiple social media and television platforms with a focus on health particularly HIV treatment and Prevention, reaching young adults. The presentation will cover the efficacy of +Love, a five-pronged intervention in New Orleans, involving a dedicated case manager, therapist, peer support, ride service, and text-based alert program that tracks clients' basic needs, mood, and provides medication reminders, in improving the healthcare and treatment satisfaction of young, black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV.

This workshop will explore two sites' (Brooklyn and Detroit) experience with the implementation of an evidence-informed intervention for black men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV. The project seeks to improve HIV outcomes through the use of a culturally tailored intervention for Black MSM, the Text Messaging Intervention to Improve Antiretroviral Adherence among youth with HIV (TXTXT).

The Alabama Quality Management Group (AQMG) is a consortium of quality leaders representing all Alabama RWHAP Part C and D clinics, over 80% of Alabama's HIV-diagnosed population. Data for Care Alabama (D4C-AL), a CDC-funded retention-in-care project, uses risk-stratification based on missed visits. It is currently being implemented at one site but will continue to be implemented over time.

This presentation discusses results from the HRSA Special Projects of National Significance Evidence-Informed Approaches to Improving Health Outcomes for people with HIV project. This session will give information on the RWHAP SPNS Social Media Initiative (SMI), which used social media and digital technology to improve HIV outcomes for young people. It will provide cross-site outcomes from 10 demonstration sites. Three sites will discuss demonstration models. Resources for replicating the intervention models will be presented.

In 2019, the Louisiana AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) partnered with a leading private dental insurer to design a group dental plan modeled after an employer-sponsored plan, specifically tailored to the needs of people with HIV. Both utilization and client satisfaction rose significantly following the adoption of the plan.
