Lessons Learned From Linking ADAP Data with HIV Surveillance Data to Improve Health Outcomes in Massachusetts
HIV care measures for people with HIV enrolled in the Massachusetts AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) were compared to people with HIV not currently enrolled; results indicate that enrollees have higher frequencies of engagement and retention in care and viral suppression. Evaluation of the data provides insight that enhances programming and service delivery to reduce health disparities.

Utilization of Telemedicine in a Rural State
Oklahoma has been classified as one of the seven states with a high rural HIV burden. Telemedicine is an excellent resource to reach patients in rural areas and continue to engage them in care and keep them virally suppressed.

RWHAP Priority Setting and Resource Allocation: Partner Collaboration and Data-Driven Decision Making
The Integrated HIV/AIDS Planning Technical Assistance Center (IHAP TAC) will describe data utilization for priority setting and resource allocation (PSRA) and the importance of partnerships for PSRA decision-making. The session will cover key definitions, requirements, emerging models, tips, and resources. RWHAP Part A and B recipients will present strategies for optimizing the PSRA process.

Increasing Access to HIV Care via Telemedicine at a University-Based Ryan White Clinic
Telemedicine has emerged to provide medical care to those in rural settings. This model has not yet been utilized by Ryan White clinics at academic centers. We use a multidisciplinary approach to conduct visits with patients via live videoconferencing. There are multiple challenges, but there is potential for increasing access.

Telehealth to Support HIV Prevention and Care in South Carolina: Three HIV Telehealth Pilots
Using three HIV telehealth pilot projects as case studies, telehealth leaders from the Medical University of South Carolina—a HRSA-funded Telehealth Center of Excellence—will discuss how telehealth might be leveraged to improve access to HIV prevention and care. Telehealth technical assistance opportunities available through HRSA will also be highlighted.

Georgia Utilizes Telehealth and Project ECHO to Expand HIV Care Management in Underserved Areas
Georgia’s telehealth/telemedicine and Project ECHO programs aim to identify and tackle barriers faced by urban and rural environments. Telehealth offers patients a virtual way of meeting with their care providers, while also improving patient engagement and care plan adherence. Project ECHO is aimed at workforce development and capacity building.
